How to donate to Rugby Tour de FranceOnline donations direct to MSF
The preferred donation method is as set out in the "Donors based in Ireland" paragraph below, which can also be used by donors from outside Ireland.
However, for those who wish, online donations can be made directly to MSF (rather than to Rugby Tour de France) in a secure manner via the following link secure.efundraising.org.uk/tailored/donation.asp.
As this is a direct donation to MSF, I would ask that anyone making an online donation please also inform me of same by emailing me via the "Contact Me" page of this website (see main menu). This is essential in order to keep an accurate record of the funds raised by the Rugby Tour de France event.
Donors based in Ireland
For those wishing to donate by a method other than direct online donation to MSF via the link above, I have set up a dedicated bank account for Rugby Tour de France with Allied Irish Banks, so that donations may be made by internet banking / 24-hour telephone banking / electronic transfer, or by cash lodgement. The account details are as follows:
Account Number: 23981070 Sort Code: 93-10-47 (Branch - 100 Grafton Street, Dublin 2) Swiftcode: AIBKIE2D IBAN: IE30AIBK93104723981070 Account reference: Darragh McElligott - MSF
Donations can also be made by cheque, bank draft or postal/money order. Any such donation should be made payable to "Medecins Sans Frontieres", and addressed for my attention as follows:
Darragh McElligott 11 Mountpleasant Avenue Lower Ranelagh Dublin 6 Ireland
Sending donations directly to MSF will prevent me from keeping an accurate record of the funds raised by the Rugby Tour de France event, hence the request for any cheques, bank drafts and postal/money orders to be forwarded to me, but made payable to MSF.
Please do not forward any cash donations by post.
If you have any queries, please contact me via the "Contact Me" page of this website (see main menu).
Donors based in the United Kingdom
For those wishing to donate by a method other than direct online donation to MSF via the link above, donations can be made directly to the Irish bank account mentioned above, or by forwarding UK sterling cheques, bank drafts or postal/money orders to my address detailed above, but made payable to MSF.
Again, sending donations directly to MSF will prevent me from keeping an accurate record of the funds raised by the Rugby Tour de France event, hence the request for any cheques, bank drafts and postal/money orders to be forwarded to me, but made payable to MSF. I will then forward any sterling cheques etc. onwards to MSF UK. Alternatively, any person, business, or organisation based in the United Kingdom and interested in donating to MSF through Rugby Tour de France, please contact me via the "Contact Me" page of this website (see main menu), in order to determine the most appropriate method of donation.
Donors based in other countries
For those wishing to donate by a method other than direct online donation to MSF via the link above, donations can be made directly to the Irish bank account mentioned above. However, I would ask that any person, business, or organisation based in any country other than Ireland or the United Kingom and interested in donating to MSF through Rugby Tour de France, please contact me via the "Contact Me" page of this website (see main menu), in order to determine the most appropriate method of donation.
Sincere thanks to all donors for your generosity. It does make a difference!
Please note that all proceeds earned via donations to Rugby Tour de France will be handed over to MSF, with a deduction being made for legitimate costs incurred in the organising and running of the event. Costs will be strictly monitored and recorded, with the aim of minimising expenditure and maximising the benefit to MSF. A breakdown of the logistical costs and the funds raised can be made available to donors on request upon completion of fundraising activities in October 2007. Again, for those with any queries, please contact me via the "Contact Me" page of this website (see main menu).
MSF Corporate Donation Acceptance Policy
Please note that Rugby Tour de France and MSF will gratefully accept donations from individuals, businesses and organisations.
However, in order to avoid a conflict of interest with MSF's work, please be advised that we cannot accept donations from corporations and industries (including small business, companies, multinationals, and corporate foundations etc.) that are in the following categories:
1. Manufacturers of tobacco products, alcohol products or arms; 2. Mineral, oil, gas and other extraction industries; and 3. Pharmaceutical industry (and in particular, members of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association).
If you or your business is interested in donating to Rugby Tour de France and is concerned that MSF may not be able to accept the proposed donation, please contact me for clarification via the "Contact Me" page of this website (see main menu).
